Guantanamo Trial Of 911
Suspects Kicks Off With Drama
The trials of the 5 chaps who - according to their torture-induced statements - are the masterminds behind 911 has just kicked off on Guantanamo, and the courtroom drama has already begun. The US administration has allowed some of the relatives of those who died in the 911 massacre to attend the hearings, but have refused to allow the suspects open their mouths in court. Because of this they had refused to enter the courtroom, but after some behind the scenes negotiations three of the five did eventually show their faces, only for one of them to leave again.

THE 5 SUSPECTS
According to the US, Khalid Sheik Mohammad is the 3rd in command in the mysterious 'terrorist group' Al-Qaeda. They say he planned the 911 attacks "from A to Z", and that he is also responsible for many other high profile terrorist attacks which are also generally put forward as possible US 'false flag operations', meaning terrorist attacks which the US government have themselves carried out to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities. False flag ops are generally carried out for economic or political gains, and many millions of Americans now believe that this is how/why 911 came about, not to mention a large chunk of the global population too. The other four guys who are sitting in the dock after admitting - post-torture - to being involved in 911 are Ramzi Binalshibh who apparently was supposed to be one of the hijackers but was unable to get a visa, Mustafa Ahmad al-Hawsawi who is 'thought' to be one of the main financiers, Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali an alleged Al-Qaeda lieutenant and Walid Bin Attash who is being blamed on 911 and the bombing of the USS Cole too.
COURTROOM PROBLEMS & DRAMA
The trials kicked off last Friday, the 17th of July 2009, with some farcical scenes, and some very telling ones too. All five of the men began by boycotting the trial after being informed that they would not be allowed to speak at the trial, and you can understand this. Then the prosecutors argued that they should be forcefully removed from their cells and brought to the courtroom on the concentration-camp-styled island. After some time three of the men, apart from their 'leader' Khalid Sheik Mohammad and Ramzi Binalshibh, appeared only for one of them, Mustafa al-Hawsawi, to leave again after being informed that he would not be allowed to speak. He asked to leave the courtroom, and was seemly allowed to do so. His defence lawyer is quoted as saying that he had been tricked into joining the proceedings, having been told he would be allowed to speak afterall, just a little taste of the distrust which the 800 or so detainee's have been subjected to for the best part of a decade on Guantanamo.
WHAT A FARCE!
This particular hearing was all about examining the mental state of two out of the five co-accused, Ramzi Binalshibh and Mustafa al-Hawsawi. They have been forced to use US military lawyers because the court says they cannot represent themselves and will not allow outside legal council. Each time their lawyers try to argue against this, their microphones are switched off. Coupled with the concentration camp, the US administration also seem to have Nazi tendencies when it comes to the freedom of speech too. Commander Suzanne Lachelier, the legal council for Ramzi Binalshibh, said that her client was suffering from a "delusional disorder", believing his captors are pumping poisonous fumes into his cell. This may not be a figment of his imagination, as we are all aware of the lengths that the US military have gone to with their torture techniques on the Cuban island, but his lawyer - before her microphone was yet again switched off - says that this 'delusion' is down to the sleep deprivation that he has suffered for years. This is certainly plausible, but with still no open access to these guys, it is hard to tell exactly what way they are being treated. All of the media sensationalism surrounding Friday's hearing is being guided by the words of the handful of 911 victims family members who were selected by lottery to attend the hearings. A lottery which only included some of the families of the victims, because now many believe that their own government had a hand in their loved ones deaths. This is the part that the mainstream media will not mention. Obama sure is taking his time closing down this charade.
